What KnockMeOff is

KnockMeOff is an entertainment and promotional platform. It sells the right to occupy a numbered position on a public leaderboard for as long as nobody else pays the published price to take it.

A position is a promotional listing. It is not a security, an investment, a wager, a game of chance, or a store of value. Outcomes are entirely deterministic: the price to take any position is published in advance, and the position transfers to whoever pays it.

Accounts

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a contract. One account per person. You are responsible for everything done through your account and for keeping your password secure.

You must verify your email address before making any payment. We may suspend or close accounts that breach these terms, and we will tell you why when we do.

What a position gives you

While you hold a position, the board displays your username, your tagline and the links you have set, on the leaderboard, on your position page and on your public profile. That display is the benefit the position confers, and it ends when the position does.

You are responsible for what your promotion says and where its links lead. We may remove promotional content that breaches the Acceptable Use Policy without refunding or releasing the position.

Positions and pricing

Each position has a takeover price shown on the site. That price is calculated by us and is the only authoritative figure; any price displayed elsewhere, or held by your browser, is not binding.

When you pay the takeover price, the position transfers to you and its price rises for the next challenger. Holding a position gives you no exclusivity of time: another user may take it from you at any moment, including immediately.

We may change the pricing formula, the number of positions, or the rules of the board. Changes apply prospectively and are announced on the site.

What you may not do

The Acceptable Use Policy lists prohibited conduct in full. In summary:

• No multiple accounts, and no coordinating accounts to manipulate the board.
• No impersonating another person, brand, or KnockMeOff staff.
• No unlawful content, harassment, hate, threats, sexual content involving minors, or doxxing.
• No fraudulent payments, stolen payment instruments, or chargeback abuse.
• No automated access, scraping at scale, or attempts to interfere with the service.

Termination

You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these terms or that we reasonably believe is being used fraudulently.

If we terminate your account for a breach, positions you hold are released without refund. If we terminate it for our own convenience, we will refund payments for positions you still hold at the time.

Liability

KnockMeOff is provided as-is. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.
