About

KnockMeOff is one board with 100 positions on it. Every position has a price, printed on the page. Pay it and the position is yours, with your name, your tagline and your links sitting at that rank, until somebody pays more and takes it from you.

No auctions with hidden bids. No algorithm deciding who deserves to be seen. No ads, no engagement score, no feed to game. The rank is the price. That's the whole idea, and there isn't a second one.

Where it stands

Nobody has been knocked off yet. The biggest takeover will show up here the first time somebody takes a position off somebody else.

The rules, in full

  1. 1The price is publishedEvery position shows exactly what it costs to take. You never bid blind, and you never find out afterwards that it cost more.
  2. 2Paying takes the positionNo approval, no queue, no waiting to see if you won. The payment confirms and the rank is yours.
  3. 3The price then goes upEvery takeover raises what the next person pays. Holding gets harder the longer a rank is worth having.
  4. 4Somebody can always take itThere is no lock-in, no minimum term, no way to make a position permanent. That applies to #1 exactly as it applies to #100.
  5. 5Losing it costs you nothing moreYou paid once. When you get knocked off, that's the end of it. No refund, and no further charge. You can take it straight back if you want it that badly.

What you're actually buying

A position isn't a trophy, it's a billboard. While you hold one, the board shows your tagline and your links (website, X, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn and GitHub) to everyone who looks at it. People see who you are and where to find you without clicking anything.

Two things that are worth saying plainly. Outbound links are nofollow, so a position promotes you to people and not to search engines. Buying a rank does nothing for your SEO, on purpose. And the promotion only runs while you hold the rank: lose it and your links come down with it. That's what the next holder is paying for.

Being straight with you

This is a paid promotional listing. It is not gambling, not an investment, and not a competition with a prize. Nothing is random. The price is the price, and paying it always works. The money goes to the platform, minus card fees; none of it goes to the person you knocked off, and there are no winnings to pay out.

Spend what a billboard is worth to you and not a penny more. If a rank stops being fun, stop buying it. The refund policy says what happens when something goes wrong, and it is short.
